The maximum authorized weight in tones of a four-axle motor vehicle may not exceed five times the distance in meters between the axles of the foremost and rearmost axles of the vehicle.
The maximum distance between the axis of the fifth-wheel king pin of the semi-trailer and the rear of the semi-trailer must not exceed 12.00m.
The distance measured horizontally between the axis of the fifth-wheel king pin and any point at the front of the semi-trailer must not exceed 2.04m.
Plus a limit of 2.0t when the maximum authorized weights of the motor vehicle (18.0t) and the tandem axle of the semi-trailer (20.0t) are respected, and the drive axle is fitted with twin tyres and pneumatic suspension or equivalent.
A combined vehicle which has more than 6 axles and exceeds the maximum permitted weights indicated shall be considered atypical and charged accordingly.
